Canine Trainer, Canine Counsellor, and CESS Coordinator
Born to a canine-passionate mother, Bhuvana grew up listening to stories about the unique bond between dogs and humans. From a very young age, canines were not just animals around her, they were a part of her life. While pursuing her engineering at Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, she gradually discovered that her true passion lay beyond engineering. She realized that while our country produces lakhs of engineers, there are still very few professionals who dedicate themselves to understanding and working with canines. Her perspective changed when she witnessed two trained dogs safeguarding an entire tech-park property. While thousands of professionals went about their daily work, these two dogs were quietly responsible for an important layer of security, protecting the lives and safety of thousands of people. That experience made her ask herself, “Why not turn my passion for canines into my profession?”
She began educating herself through professional certification courses with Amrut DogGuru Services, successfully completing all three levels. She then spent more than two years in her hometown, Davangere, gaining practical experience in dog boarding, training, and breeding. However, she believed it was time to step beyond her hometown and explore her potential further. For her, there was no better mentor than Dr. Amrut and no better place to learn, grow, and contribute than Amrut DogGuru Services. Over the years, while working closely with dogs and following developments around canine-related incidents, she noticed a disturbing cycle. Children were being injured or killed in dog attacks, while stray dogs were also being poisoned, run over, abandoned, or forcibly relocated. This made her realize that meaningful change required addressing both sides of the problem.
She strongly believes that education is the bridge between these two problems. With this vision, she took up her first major initiative, the CESS, Canine Education for School Students Programme, launched in March 2026. The programme is built around a simple but powerful objective: “No innocent child should be bitten, and no innocent dog should be beaten.” Today, Bhuvana works as an Experienced Canine Trainer, Canine Counsellor, and CESS Coordinator, working towards creating safer communities, better human and canine relationships, and a more compassionate future for both people and dogs.
